Bergen County Opposes Restrictive Tickets
02/23/2012
Bergen County, the home of MetLife Stadium, the IZOD Center and the Bergen Performing Arts Center, joined the Borough of East Rutherford to oppose restrictive paperless tickets.
The Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders voted on a bipartisan basis to oppose any efforts to restrict the transfer of tickets which the board deemed “disadvantageous to businesses reliant on the local entertainment industry” and unfair to consumers.
To that end, the Bergen County Freeholder Board stood up for local fans and urged the passage of Senate Bill 875, legislation that “benefits consumers and businesses in Bergen County and across New Jersey by protecting and urging transparency and transferability in the ticketing process.”
